The southeast coast encompasses the parish of St. Thomas parts of Kingston & St. Andrew. This destination is truly off the beaten path, un-spoilt, ripe for exploration and adventure; it is perfect for those travelers interested in Jamaican Heritage, history. Some of the best surfing on the island is at Macka Beach. You can hike the Blue mountains or just bask and play in the surf of the numerous beaches on the southeast. The parish is bounded by the beautiful, turquoise-azure blue Caribbean Sea to the south, the Blue mountain & John Crow ranges to the west . Visit the Lighthouse, built in 1841, by Africans, brought to Jamaica after slavery was abolished. St. Thomas is rich with history.

Stay 3 or 5 days on the Southeast Coast, in St. Thomas, it is the ideal destination to learn about Jamaica’s proud heritage and history. Visit the birthplace of Paul Bogle, in Stony Gut, St. Thomas, the Morant Bay Court house and many more historic sites.

Experience includes:

  • Visit the Bath mineral springs and Botanical Gardens, the second oldest botanical garden in the Caribbean, and learn about the flora and fauna of Jamaica.

  • Enjoy some of the best surfing in Jamaica at Bull Bay, Makka Beach and other secret locations.

  • Hike the Blue Mountains. St. Thomas is where the peak is located (2250 m or 4743 feet). Visit “Judgement Cliff” and Yallhas Pond.
