Jazz is creative and engenders a sense of structure, freedom, and collaborative possibility. The facilitators of the Jazz Leadership Project (JLP) use a high-performance model to enhance team development and elevate group collaboration via experiential learning.
JPL has pioneered a Jazz-based model to articulate the principles and practices of group flow and cohesion, typically heard and seen in high-performance jazz ensembles. The creative act of playing in a top-notch Jazz ensemble, involves enacting individual and group values, attitudes and behaviors that lead to a Whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. Our approach is applicable to the current fast-paced, volatile workplace.
