Otaheti Travel has curated an authentic Off the beaten track Jamaican “Foodie” vacation experience for travelers who are passionate about food and want to learn about Jamaican cuisine, its people and culture. Enjoy eight leisurely days and seven nights along the North Coast, sampling dishes, exotic fruits and savoring their mouthwatering flavors; learning about the spices, condiments that define Jamaican cuisine. Stop at a rum shop or two. Meet other foodies at our cooking school in Port Antonio. You will have ample time to engage in other activities and to soak up the sun, the sights and the sounds in this lush verdant tropical landscape.


Experience Overview

  • The Foodie experience starts in Kingston. Explore the city on a walking tour; start sampling the local cuisine and enjoying first class dining.

  • The journey continues up the foot hill of the Blue Mountains to the iconic EITS Cafe. Visit a coffee estate to sample taste one of the most terroir driven coffees in the world. After a lite-lunch we journey through the pristine tropic rain forest to Port Antonio, Portland.

  • Port Antonio is a charming, unhurried town; it is the birthplace of Jamaican tourism, since 1894. And it is the ideal location for Foodies to explore, cook and enjoy Jamaican cuisine.

  • Stay at a first class hotel, villa or private residence.

  • Swim in the Blue Lagoon and go rafting on the Rio Grande.


Top Chef North Coast Foodie Experience Itinerary

$3,725 per person 

Experience the ultimate “Foodie” experience in quaint Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica. You will spend six days and five nights savoring sumptuous Jamaican dishes. A top chef will teach you about the essential ingredients in authentic Jamaican cooking. You will sample some of the best Jerk and street food on the island, dine at local restaurants, visit local markets, coffee and rum estates. We stop at EITS Café for an organic breakfast. Stay at exclusive boutique hotel or villa in the foot hill of the Blue Mountains.

Your Itinerary

This Experience accommodates a maximum of 12 guest who are 18-or older.

Trip Cancellation Policy

 A refund will be issued if canceled according to the Hotel or Resort policies, for example, if over 45 days prior to arrival throughout the year, and 90 days prior to arrival between December 20 and January 5. For some the full amount is non-refundable when canceled outside their policy, while some may offer a credit for a stay within 1 - 3 years. Blackout dates such as major US and Jamaican holiday periods apply.

There will be No refund for “no-shows”. A 5% credit card fee will be deducted from refunds for canceled reservations. Refunds are processed within 30 days of the cancelation date.
